Community Based Programs
Center for Family Services is funded by the Illinois Department of Human
Services to provide intervention to chronic juvenile offenders, up to the age
of 17. Services are home and community-based, using a multi-systemic approach
aimed to increase successful completion of probation and to decrease the
likelihood of a re-offense.
Services are outcome driven, using an assessment tool that identifies risk to
re-offend, and protective factors to prevent re-offense. Intervention is
delivered by a treatment team that provides individual, family, and group
counseling; service coordination; 24-hour crisis intervention; and social
skills training.
The Illinois Department of Human Services
CFS is funded by the Illinois Department of Human Services and the Department of
Children and Family Services to provide intensive home-based services to
runaway youth, youth in crisis with their families, foster children, and truant
youth.
Our goal is to stabilize the youth that we serve in their family settings, to
prevent placement in more restrictive living arrangements, and to promote
long-term stability through community support systems.
Services are outcome driven, based on an assessment of individual strengths and
needs. Intervention is delivered by a treatment team that provides individual,
group, and family therapy; service coordination and linkage; 24 hour crisis
intervention; and social skills training.
The Illinois Department of Children and
Family Services
The Illinois Department of Human Services
Center for Family Services is funded by the Illinois Department of Human
Services to provide after school programming to at-risk youth. Components
of the program include academic instruction and enrichment, life skills
education, recreation and sports, and cultural activities. Parents are
encouraged to be involved in program activities and mentoring is available to
youth in the program.
